What details should you give if someone wants to transfer money to your acct.?

I just had my first bank acct., so I have little idea on how things go on.


I'm expecting money from someone, but I'm not sure which details to give.





Is it the sort code? the card number? or the bank account number? Should I also add the Bank name?





Thanks a lot|||None of the above. Never give out this information. Have them send you a cashier's check. Or give them the bank name and they can make the deposit with only your name. Giving out your bank account number is an invitation to theft and fraud.
