a friend of mine is going to transfer some moey from his account on monday and needs my bank details. what details will the bank need to do this and how long will it take as i have no idea what bank they use. im in the uk if that helps|||Account name ,account number and bank routing number - if this is a checking account you will find the routing number on the bottom of your check to the left of your account number. If this doesn't help then call and ask your bank - the info I supplied applies to US banking. 3 business days to clear at most.|||Hi,

For the UK you will need to give them the following details -

1.Account Name in Full, exactly as it is on your statements, cards etc.

So if the account is held under Miss A Smith, he must use this and not A Smith, or Anon Smith etc.

2. Account number

3. Bank sort code ie 30-30-80

4. Name of bank ie Barclays (although this info is contained in sort code but just helps them out)

If the account is at the same bank as his then the transaction will be done immediately.

If he uses another bank he has options to do the transfer - BACS or CHAPS payment.

The bank will charge for a chaps payment, but will be in your account before close of play the same day if done before 11am

BACS payment would take 3 working days to show your end, but debited from his account immediately.

Depending on how fast you need it i suppose. CHAPS payments from LLoyds was 拢20 but some banks can charge upto 拢60.

|||if he is in the uk aswell all he needs is the account name number and sort code...

if he is not in the uk he will need the above and the banks ibn number and swiftbic code -this you will find on your bank statements... these numbers for the banks like the ac sort number is to identify a persons a/c |||Your friend will need the name of your bank, it's sort code and your bank account number. If they use CHAPS to make the transfer - it will clear in 4 working days. If they use BACS - and pay a fee it will clear in 24 hours or even the same day - if you do the transfer early in the day. |||Routing Number (which is the bank's code - it is the first numbers on the bottom of your check before your checking account #) - your checking account number and the name on the account.|||You'll need the bank sort code and account number and name. It should take about 3 - 5 working days, unless both your accounts are with the same bank and then it might be done on the same day.|||Make sure this "friend" doesn't want to remove money from your account, please. The info you supply may be used to empty your account.|||4 things your account #, sort code, your name and the name of your bank. if its the same bank it'll be instant and if not then it takes about 3 working days.|||Account number. Sort code. Also what name the account is in for example "Miss Jane Smith" or "Miss J Smith"

It should take 3-5 working days|||Make sure they only have your sort code and account number. It's risky if someone gets enough details to syphon money from your account.|||Account number and sort code, shouldn't take more than 3 working days.|||Account title and number.|||just your routing number, the numbers at the bottom of your checks.|||Account number and sort code|||account number and sort code
