Right now i'm in 9th grade, and at the end of high school I'll probably have around a 3.8 GPA, I'll be doing community service, I'm in dance, but I have like zero money saved up. So first of all, do you think I'll be able to make it into those two colleges? And secondly, am I elegible for big scholarships? or even little ones? I need as much scholarship money as possible.|||Hey Im from Washington and have many friends in the same situation as you. Grade wise you will easily get into both schools, as long as you keep up your extracurriculars and grades. Scholarships are completely up to you to get. I cant really tell you if youll get them or not, but you are eligible for , you just have to apply for them. Another great way to get tuition money is through the FAFSA, its a form you fill out that determines how much money the goverment should give you for college, and if you dont have alot of money saved up you will probably get lots. and to answer your main question you can go to central and transfer over to UW, but a cheaper way would prob go to BCC and then transfer.|||It's hard to say if you will be able to get in because it is hard to know what the economic climate is going to be like and what your grades will be like. Central is easier to get into than UW, but its not that much easier.
It would be much cheaper to go to a community college, then go to University of Washington, because yet again Central is a State University plus they require freshman to live on campus their first year, which means you are probably spending more.
Big scholarships are hard to get there is a bunch of competition. Of course you could also try and get a bunch of smaller scholarships. You should get summer and start saving now. it also helps to join groups like Teens in Action that show you are dedicated to community service, and helping your community.
