This is where it really is defined|||FTP allows you to connect to a web-server, and then exchange files with the server. An example would be you have to upload a web page to the server. You connect to the server with your password and username, then upload the page in the correct spot. You can also download things from it. FTP allows you to view files on the web server like you would a folder.
