What details do i give to someone to put money into my account ?

Basically someone one is buying an item off me and i want them to pay by putting the money into my bank account. so its a bank transfer, what details does the customer need in order to pay the money into my bank account ?

You will want to ask your institution what their wiring instructions are.





You will have to give the person buying the item off of you your account number and routing number, but that goes along with the wiring instructions.





Every institution's wiring instructions are different so dont assume you only have to give them your account number and routing number. You should contact them.|||Go to Paypal.com and get yourself a secure paypal account...then they only have to give them your paypal account details, with these they could only put money IN and they wont have enough details to take money from you.|||It isn't necessarily a bank transfer - they could just go and put the money into your account at their local branch of your bank. In either case they will need:


The name of your bank


Account holder's name


Your Bank sort code


Your Bank account number|||Bank name, location, sort code, account name and account number.|||If it's over the Internet, then the sort code and account number.|||account holders full name
